1. 01

   These terms

   These terms apply to every quotation, order and supply of furniture and related services by Stead Kraft Solutions Private Limited, registered at 2nd Floor, Amaze Tower, A.T. Road, Bharalumukh, Near SBI Bank, Guwahati 781009, Assam ("Steadkraft", "we", "us"). Placing an order means you accept them.

   Where you have signed a separate supply agreement or framework contract with us, that agreement takes precedence over these terms to the extent the two differ.

2. 02

   Quotations and orders

   A quotation is an invitation to order, not an offer. It is valid for 30 days from its date unless it says otherwise, and prices may change after that period.

   An order becomes binding when we confirm it in writing and receive the agreed deposit. Any drawings, specifications or samples we issue remain part of that confirmed order.

3. 03

   Pricing and payment

   Prices are quoted in Indian rupees (₹) and exclude GST and any other applicable taxes, delivery and installation unless the quotation states that they are included.

   Unless agreed otherwise, 50% is payable on order confirmation and the balance before dispatch. Invoices are due within 30 days. Late payment may attract interest at 1.5% per month on the outstanding amount.

4. 04

   Custom and made-to-order pieces

   Bespoke sizes, finishes, timbers and fabrics are produced to the specification signed off by you. Once production has started, custom pieces cannot be cancelled, changed or returned.

   Natural materials vary. Grain, colour and texture in wood, leather and stone differ between batches, and samples show a representative range rather than an exact match.

5. 05

   Lead times, delivery and installation

   Lead times quoted are estimates in working days from order confirmation and final sign-off of the specification. We keep you informed of the expected delivery window as production progresses.

   You are responsible for safe access to the site, a clear and ready space, and any permissions, lifts or hoisting needed. Costs from access being unavailable on the agreed date may be re-charged.

   Risk passes to you on delivery. Title passes when we have received payment in full.

6. 06

   Inspection and shortages

   Please inspect goods on delivery and tell us about visible damage, shortages or incorrect items within [7] days, in writing and with photographs, so we can put things right quickly.

7. 07

   Cancellation and returns

   Standard catalogue items in their original condition and packaging may be returned within [14] days of delivery, subject to a restocking charge of [XX]% and the cost of collection.

   Custom, made-to-order and installed items are not returnable except where they are faulty. Nothing in these terms affects rights you have under applicable consumer law.

8. 08

   Warranty

   We warrant our furniture against defects in materials and workmanship for [X] years from delivery under normal commercial use, with [X] years on moving parts and mechanisms.

   The warranty excludes normal wear, natural variation and ageing of materials, misuse, unauthorised repair or modification, and damage from unsuitable environments such as prolonged damp, heat or direct sunlight.

   Where a valid claim is made, we will repair, replace or refund the affected item at our option. That is the full extent of our liability under the warranty.

9. 09

   Care and maintenance

   Follow the care guidance supplied with each piece. Wood, metal and fabric finishes last longest when cleaned with the recommended products and protected from heat, moisture and abrasion.

10. 10

    Intellectual property

    Designs, drawings, renders, specifications, photography and the Steadkraft name and logo remain our property. They may not be copied, shared or used to produce furniture without our written permission.

11. 11

    Liability

    We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

    Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue or business interruption.

12. 12

    Privacy

    We use the details you give us to prepare quotations, fulfil orders and provide after-sales support. We do not sell them. Write to us at the address below to ask what we hold or to have it corrected or erased.

13. 13

    Governing law

    These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Guwahati, Assam have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
